have been firm contenders with vying to reunite with a player he knows from formerly both working at Manchester City, and their bond appears to have won the West Londoners the race.

Delap has chosen to join the club and now they are expected to pay his £30m release clause.

With that in mind, football.london analyses the latest transfer headlines surrounding Stamford Bridge as the striker's signing could reportedly be followed by two more swift deals.

Marc Guiu loan

As football.london mentioned in there is a chance that Marc Guiu is loaned out next season if competition for a place at Stamford Bridge increases.

The 19-year-old Spaniard has acted as back-up to Nicolas Jackson in 2024/25 whilst finding the majority of minutes available in the Conference League or cup competitions.

So, furthering the possibility of a loan being struck, claims Ipswich have asked sign Guiu on loan in place of Delap.

They will be playing in the Championship and want no option or obligation to sign the striker - they merely wish for his help returning to the second-tier.

football.london says: Guiu would benefit from a loan, especially if the likelihood of game time at Chelsea is only going to decrease. Playing in the Champions League instead of the Conference League, it is hard to see he starts in Europe next term, leaving only the domestic cups as his chance to play. The Championship is a great division to develop in.

Jadon Sancho negotiations

Another deal on the cards for Chelsea is a permanent one for Conference League final goalscorer, Jadon Sancho, report .

The winger has been on loan from Manchester United in 2024/25 and the obligation threshold was crossed to make that deal permanent as they finished higher than 14th in the Premier League.

That deal is going to cost the Blues £25m, or alternatively they still have the option to pay £5m and send him back to Old Trafford.

Sky now say Stamford Bridge chiefs want Sancho to stay but to make this happen are in talks with the 25-year-old's representatives about restructuring his personal financial terms on the contract that he would sign - the wage United are paying is much higher than Chelsea's overall wage policy allows.

football.london says: Sancho has had a mixed season at Chelsea but towards the end has certainly proven his worth to Enzo Maresca. If they can agree his arrival on their terms, great, as he is already settled working under the coach. If not, pay the £5m and seek out an alternative.
