In today's time, paper cups are not just a means of drinking tea or coffee, but have become a good source of income. Whether it is a birthday party or a wedding, an office meeting or a roadside tea stall, the demand for paper cups is increasing rapidly everywhere. The biggest reason behind this is the restrictions being imposed on plastic. While plastic cups are considered harmful to the environment and are also difficult to dispose of, paper cups are biodegradable and are easily destroyed. For this reason, people are now adopting them as a safe and eco-friendly option.

The rapidly increasing demand has turned paper cups into an emerging industry. Today, millions of paper cups are needed daily in offices, cafes, canteens, food stalls, and big events. In such a situation, this business not only reduces environmental concerns, but can also give good profits with low investment. This is the reason why many young and small investors are now getting attracted to this business.

Work will start within 3 lakhs.
The initial cost of starting a paper cup manufacturing business may seem a bit heavy, but it can become a profitable business. This work first requires raw material, which includes print PE paper, a bottom reel, and packing material. About 2,836 kg of print PE paper costs more than ₹2.60 lakh, while 1,134 kg of bottom reel costs around ₹88,000. At the same time, about ₹25,000 has to be spent separately for packing. That means the total initial cost of raw material alone is around ₹3.74 lakh.

But the matter does not end here. Some necessary expenses also have to be made every month to run the business. About ₹6,000 is spent monthly on electricity and machine oil. Apart from this, if we add other expenses like rent, stationery, transport, and advertising, then this figure reaches close to ₹ 20,500. Staff salary is also included in this. A production or sales manager has to be paid ₹ 15,000, a skilled worker ₹ 10,000, and an unskilled worker ₹ 7,000 per month. That is, before starting a business, the calculation of all these expenses should be in mind; only then will the path to earning profit be easy.

You will have to buy a machine to expand the business.

A paper cup making machine is necessary for large-scale production, which costs around ₹ 8,50,000. Cups are prepared in this machine in three main stages. In the first stage, the side wall of the cup is shaped and prepared for the next step. In the second stage, the lower part of the cup is shaped and attached to the side wall, and the edges are curled. In the third stage, the cup is cut and heated at 45 degrees, then the bottom part is curled and given the final shape. Once this process is completed, the cups are completely ready for use.

This much will be the annual income.

About 73,000 cups can be made daily with this machine. This figure reaches about 22,00,000 cups in a year. The total sales generate an annual income of about ₹66,00,000. After deducting the production cost, the annual profit can reach about ₹9,37,100.
