At the Cannes Lions event, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced Veo 3 and said that this tool will come to Shorts by the end of the year. It has been developed by DeepMind and this AI-based system is much more advanced than the earlier Dream Screen. Now users can get a complete short video by just writing a line like "Ek Bachcha Maidan Mein Khel Raha Hai".
Dialogue, sound and camera will be decided by AI
Veo 3 is capable of audio-synchronized video generation and dialogue, sound effects and camera angles will be decided by AI. This feature has received positive response in the trial and creators are calling it a revolution in content making.
No need for expensive phones or editing tools now
Through this technology, creators will no longer need expensive phones, stock footage or editing tools. This will empower those who have ideas but no resources. Also, YouTube will also ensure that users are suggested the kind of content they want to watch. YouTube Shorts is currently getting crores of views per day and with Veo 3 this figure is likely to increase further.
