'Could you just come up, take care of me?' Shefali Jariwala's friend Pooja reveals her last words to husband Parag Tyagi

On June 27, the entertainment industry lost one of its vibrant personalities as actor and model Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42. Best remembered for her sensational performance in the iconic song Kaanta Laga, Shefali's untimely demise has left her family, friends, and fans in deep sorrow. The actress was reportedly discovered unresponsive at her residence due to a cardiac arrest, leading to a devastating chain of events that culminated in her tragic passing.

A Ritual Shrouded in Tragedy

Close friend and fellow industry figure Pooja Ghai revealed details of the heartbreaking final moments leading up to Shefali’s death in a conversation with Vickey Lalwani. According to Pooja, Shefali’s home was adorned with decorations in preparation for a Satyanarayan Puja, a religious ceremony that had been arranged at their residence. When Pooja arrived the next day to bid her final farewell, she was struck by the sight of the beautifully prepared home that now stood in contrast to the somber occasion it had unexpectedly transformed into.

An Ordinary Evening Turns Fatal

On the night of her passing, Shefali had a regular dinner and then asked her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, to take their senior pet dog out for a walk. What seemed like a typical evening quickly spiraled into tragedy. As Parag stepped outside, he was alerted by the house helper that Shefali wasn’t feeling well. The helper informed him that she had asked for assistance and wanted him to come back upstairs quickly.

"“And the moment he went down, apparently he was called. The helper at home called him and said, ‘Didi is not feeling well.’ So, she told him, ‘Could you just come up and take care of me?’" Pooja revealed.

The Desperate Rush to Save Her

Acting swiftly, Parag instructed the helper to take over walking the dog so he could return to Shefali. Waiting near the lift, he handed over the dog and rushed upstairs. According to what Pooja Ghai shared, Parag found Shefali still alive but in a distressing condition. Her pulse was faint, and she was unconscious, her body limp and unresponsive. Sensing the gravity of the situation, he wasted no time and took her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital.

Despite his immediate action, Shefali was declared dead upon arrival. The cause was confirmed to be cardiac arrest, a cruel and silent thief that gave no warning before claiming her life.

A Heartfelt Goodbye

Shefali’s last rites were performed at the Oshiwara Hindu crematorium, where her loved ones came together in grief. Her husband, Parag Tyagi, along with other family members and close friends from the entertainment fraternity, was present to pay their respects and offer support in this time of unimaginable loss.
