Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2025: Applied for 1,746 vacancies? Answer key released, objection window open, here's how to challenge errors

The Punjab Police has released the answer key for the Computer-Based Test ( CBT) conducted to recruit constables in the District and Armed Police Cadres. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their responses and raise objections, if any, on the official website, punjabpolice.gov.in, until 7 PM on June 23, 2025.

What was the exam for?

This recruitment drive is to fill 1,746 constable vacancies. Online applications were accepted from 21 February to 13 March, and the CBT took place in phases from 4 May to 8 June. Admit cards were released according to the exam dates.

The recruitment process includes four steps:
  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Screening Test (PST)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification

Answer Key and Objection Window

The answer key has been published for all exam phases, including the last round of exams held between 31 May and 8 June. Candidates are advised to review their recorded answers and check for any mistakes.


If they spot any errors, they can raise objections through the online portal on the Punjab Police website. The objection window is open from 7 PM on 21 June to 7 PM on 23 June.

The CBT was held in both English and Punjabi to make it easier for all candidates.

Who is eligible?

  • To apply, candidates must:
  • Be Indian citizens
  • Be aged between 18 and 28
  • Have passed 10+2 (or equivalent)
  • Have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject
Both male and female candidates can apply. The minimum height requirement is:
  • 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm) for men
  • 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm) for women
Postings could be anywhere in Punjab or even outside the country in some cases.

Application Fees

  • General category: Rs 1,200
  • SC/ST and EWS: Rs 700
  • Ex-servicemen and their family members: Rs 500

How to check the answer key and raise objections

  • Go to punjabpolice.gov.in
  • Click on the “Constable 2025 – District and Armed Police Cadres” recruitment section
  • Select the link to view the CBT answer key
  • Log in using your registration details
  • To raise objections, click on ‘Raise Objection’, upload any supporting documents, and submit before the deadline
Make sure you submit accurate details. Once the deadline passes, the police will not accept any further objections.

What happens next?

After the answer key is finalised and results are declared, shortlisted candidates will be called for the PST and PMT (physical tests). These are only qualifying in nature. Then comes the document verification before the final selection.
