Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has compared wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant to Carlos Alcaraz. He said that both have made their respective games exciting by performing unexpectedly. Let us tell you that Pant is currently playing a five-match Test series against England. He has been made the vice-captain of the Test team by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Gavaskar compared Pant to Alcaraz.
Gavaskar compared India's Pant to Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, the defending Wimbledon singles champion. After visiting the prestigious All England Lawn Tennis Club, which is hosting Wimbledon, Gavaskar said that Pant and Alcaraz are very similar.
Gavaskar said on 'Star Sports', 'Alcaraz is moving very well and he can play all the shots. He can also be a bit of a showman sometimes, when you think he should win the point by hitting a shot, he tries to hit a drop shot. But that's what people come to see, it's like watching Rishabh Pant. With Pant, you have to expect the unexpected. Similarly, with Alcaraz, you have to expect the unexpected. That's what makes him so exciting.'
Gavaskar wants to see Djokovic win his 25th Grand Slam title.
With Wimbledon and India's five-match Test series in England happening simultaneously, many former and current cricketers have been seen enjoying tennis at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Gavaskar said that he visits the All England Lawn Tennis Club more often than the iconic cricket ground, Lord's. Gavaskar told Indian tennis legend Vijay Amritraj, 'Around this time, whenever I am in England, I go to watch Wimbledon, but if India is not playing, I hardly go to Lord's. So yes, one can say that I come here more often than I go to Lord's. I want Djokovic to win as it will be his 25th Grand Slam title. Nobody has won 25 Grand Slam titles, so that would be amazing. My heart is for Djokovic but I think my mind is for Alcaraz.'
