Madhav Sheth, the former chief of Realme India, has announced the launch of a new smartphone brand, AI+ Smartphone, through his recently founded Indian company, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies. The brand enters the market with two models — Pulse, a 4G smartphone, and Nova, a 5G device. Both the phones are priced under the Rs. 10,000 range.
Sheth also introduced NxtQuantum OS, which the company describes as India’s first sovereign mobile operating system. The OS emphasizes user control and data transparency, with all personal information — including app settings and backups — stored securely within India. The data is hosted using Google Cloud Regions empanelled by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
“AI+ Smartphone is about putting control back in the hands of Indian users,” said Sheth, now CEO of AI+ Smartphone. “These phones are designed with India in mind — fast, secure, and built to respect data privacy.”
Manufactured in India by United Telelinks (Bangalore) Limited at their Noida facility, the smartphones support multiple regional languages and come with features such as local content integration and a Theme Designer Tool for customisation.
This marks a significant move towards local innovation and manufacturing in India's mobile technology sector. With the AI+ brand, Sheth looks to convert the nearly 200 million users who still use ‘feature phones’.
