'Wish I Was An Insider': Panchayat Actress Sanvikaa Shares Cryptic Note On Getting Respect & Equal Treatment In Industry

Panchayat actress Sanvikaa, known for her role as Rinki in the hit web series, took to Instagram to share a cryptic note about the challenges of being an outsider in the entertainment industry. Her post stated that if she had come from a powerful family or had connections in the industry, her journey might have been less difficult.

"Sometimes I wish I was an insider or maybe from a very powerful background, things would have been so much easier (maybe, I don't know)," her Instagram story read.

"As basic as getting respect and being treated as an equal. The battles would have been lesser. Hanging on..." the post further read. However, Sanvikaa didn't elaborate on the specific incident that led to the post.

Sanvikaa plays the lead actress in Panchayat. She has been associated with the franchise since the second season of the show. The actress is gearing up for the release of the fourth season of Panchayat.

Sanvikaa, whose real name is Pooja Singh, hails from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She switched from engineering to entertainment to become an actress. After moving to Mumbai under the pretense of a Bengaluru job, she started as a costume assistant and soon began auditioning. Her breakthrough came in Panchayat 2 (2022) playing Rinki, a role that earned her fame and the title 'national crush'.

She has also been a part of other web series like Lakhan Leela Bhargava and Hajamat.
