Current weather conditions in UP:
Monsoon activity has weakened in Uttar Pradesh in the last few days.
On Thursday, some districts like Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Banda and Ghazipur received light rain or drizzle.
The state capital Lucknow also received light drizzle.
The low pressure area formed over Madhya Pradesh is drawing moist air from UP, limiting rain in the eastern parts of the state, especially near the MP border.
Forecast for the coming days:
Next 48 hours: Light or sporadic rain is expected in some areas. Heavy rain is not expected during this period.
By June 29: A cyclonic circulation is likely to become active over the Bay of Bengal.
This system will move towards Uttar Pradesh via West Bengal and Bihar as a low-pressure area.
From June 30: Starting from the eastern districts, rain is expected to gradually cover most parts of the state, including Lucknow, Ayodhya and Kanpur.
Relief from temperature and heat:
Currently, the state is witnessing humid and uncomfortable weather conditions.
Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the state meteorological centre in Amausi, confirmed that only drizzle or light rain is expected in the next 24 hours.
With heavy cloud cover and rain from June 30, the temperature is expected to drop, bringing much relief from the heat and humidity.
