Apple announced the arrival of the Apple Watch Series 9 in September 2023, a model which brought swish new software features, upgraded hardware, and even a futuristic new hands-free gesture to the brand's iconic line of smart watches.
As with previous Apple Watches, the Series 9 combines seamless iPhone connectivity with some unique wearable features, including heartbeat and workout sensors, apps including maps, phone and messages, and more.
And thanks to Amazon's newly launched Second Chance Deals, shoppers can now claim a fully refurbished Apple Watch Series 9 in excellent condition for £225.

The Series 9 has been upgraded from the Series 8 with Apple Silicon S9 SiP processors and a faster GPU, which means improved animations, AI tasks, and more.
Undoubtedly, the coolest new feature that the Series 9 introduced is a 'double-tap' tool that looks like something straight out of Star Trek. Instead of using the watch's touchscreen, you can now control apps by tapping your index finger and thumb together. This will let you answer calls, scroll through widgets, snooze alarms, and more.
The Apple Watch is well-known for helping users out of sticky situations, as it is able to monitor someone's heartbeat and other vital signs or even detect if they're in a high-speed crash. For example, one dad claimed his Apple Watch saved his life after his heart stopped 138 times in two days while another woman said doctors were able to diagnose a serious health problem thanks to a red alert from her Apple Watch.
While all these hardware upgrades greatly improve this health and wellness aspect of the gadget, the Series 9's processor means all Siri requests can now be processed on the device rather than in the cloud. One of these includes health questions, so you can ask your watch queries about your health, and it can get back to you with answers using the data it collects about your activity, heartbeat and more.
If you often lose your iPhone, Apple Watch Series 9 also has some wideband technology, which lets you ping your iPhone's location so you can find it as soon as possible. This should eliminate the need to use the 'Find My' app every time you misplace your device.
This Apple Watch still promises an 'all-day' 18-hour battery life or 36 hours in power-saving mode, so you can take it out for the whole day without worrying about it dying on you.
Retailing for £349 upon its release, this gadget is now up for grabs for £225 on Amazon thanks to their new return and refurbished tech deals. Obviously, this means the watch is pre-owned, but the retailer promises it's in excellent condition. If you don't mind sacrificing the visual appearance of your watch for a smaller price tag, you can score a Series 9 in good condition for £197.99.
If you'd prefer to shop elsewhere, Wowcher is offering shoppers the chance to pick up a Series 8 model for £210, down from £484.99. Or Argos stocks this Apple Watch SE 2024 for £219.
