Charlie Kirk's wifeand family are struggling to tell their children that "daddy isn't coming home" as they come to terms with his death, according to a political influencer.
Jack Posobiec, a controversial contributor to Kirk's Turning Point USA organisation, said today that Kirk's family has been struggling following his assassination.Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University, with the attack being witnessed by the thousands who attended.
Mr Posobiec said: "Erika is unbelievably strong. At the same time someone's going to have to explain to his son and daughter why their dad didn't come home yesterday."

Speaking to NewsNation, he continued: "Erika is a prayer warrior, her and Charlie are very devout believers, they are very very deeply Christian. When you see the cameras turn off, the lights go down, they immediately go back to faith - this is something they live 24/7.
"It is not something that only exists in front of the camera, that is something that they absolutely walk every single day. Because they have that firm reliance in faith, Erika has that ability to be able to go through this with that kind of strength that really only comes from heaven."
Erika recently launched a ministry program titled, BIBLEin365, which said on its website "seeks to help individuals engage with scriptures." Her biography read: "Above all, Erika cherishes her role as the wife of Charlie Kirk and the mother of their precious son and daughter.
"As she continues to grow in her ministry, leadership, and entrepreneurial endeavours, Erika remains committed to inspiring others to live with purpose, rooted in faith, and driven by the love of Christ in every aspect of life."
Beau Mason, the commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, said she and the family were "devastated." The couple have two children and celebrated heir fourth wedding anniversary in May.
The young family was suffered major loss yesterday following Kirk's assassination. The conservative influencer was fatally shot in the neck and died of his injuries shortly afterward.
A manhunt has been launched to find a person of interest who is wanted by the FBI. A staggering reward of up to $100,000 (£73,000) has been offered to anyone with any information leading to an arrest.
