A statement shared on the school's Facebook page reads: "It is with great sadness that we come together as a school community to mourn the loss of Mrs Pedder, a dedicated teacher, colleague and friend to so many, who touched all of our lives in her own special way.
"You will all have your own unique memories of Mrs Pedder but as a school will we remember her as a much loved teacher with a huge heart, an infectious smile and a real love for music. Her life was truly lived to the full and one which we all feel blessed to have been a part of.
"Tributes can be placed on the lawn at the front of the school and a Book Of Condolence will be opened for people to share their own messages and tributes in the school hall which will be shared with her family."
Some parents took to the comments to share fond memories of Katherine. One person wrote: "Sending so much love to her family and lives she touched. My son was her shadow for a year and she was always there to give the children a hug and added love, including older children she had taught who I would see run by her class and hug her on route to their next, she was seen as a gentle comfort and a fun teacher who would be very expressionate and kind. A warm, friendly lady who cared and will be deeply missed."
Another wrote: "My son had Mrs Pedder when he first joined the school. She made him feel welcomed and helped him to settle in so well. she was an amazing teacher who really knew how to encourage my son and recognised what he needed to motivate him.
"The fruit of her work is now he loves to read and has gained a love for novels! I will forever be grateful for her and her kindness. Thinking of the family during this incredibly hard time. May she rest in peace."
The Mirror has contacted The East of England Ambulance Service for comment.
