In the shocking footage, a group can be seen gathered outside the courthouse in the square, with fingers pointing as what appear to be members of court staff stand on the fringes of the group, with one woman pulled away by her arm as things escalate. Then, another woman walks toward the woman who had been pulled away and the confrontation turns physical.
The two women are seen scuffling, grabbing hold of each other as they drag each other across the square. Meanwhile, others attempt to get in between the two women to break up the fight.
Tensions had flared between the group as they gathered outside court earlier this week. What began as a heated verbal exchange quickly spiralled out of control, drawing the attention of court staff, bystanders, and eventually, the police.
In a statement released today, confirmed they had received reports of an assault and are now appealing for information. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident - or who has footage - to come forward as part of their investigation.
