Nine people working on a private hydropower project located in Manuni Khad in Khaniyara had gone missing. Of these, the bodies of two people were recovered on Wednesday itself, while two were recovered on Thursday. The deceased have been identified as Chain Singh (20) Tehsil Bhalla District Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, Aditya Thakur (35), District Chamba Himachal, and Pradeep Verma (35) resident of Sohanpur Deoria Uttar Pradesh and Chandan resident Sohanpur Uttar Pradesh.
Arunachal: One killed in landslide, death toll rises to 14
One person died and another went missing in a landslide due to heavy rains in Bichom district of Arunachal Pradesh. Officials said that another person has been seriously injured in this accident in Sanchug village, and is undergoing treatment. With this, the death toll in monsoon-related incidents in the northeastern state has increased to 14.
