Police stopped the fast-moving Ertiga vehicle by placing a barrier ahead and questioned the person wearing a police uniform in it.

CO City Munesh Kumar said that the person sitting in the car was wearing the uniform of an ADG rank. During the check, the car was stopped, and the person was questioned. He first said that he was an officer of the National Security Force. When the police questioned him strictly on suspicion, he slipped up in many answers and his truth was revealed.

He has been identified as Supriyo Mukherjee (son of Srimanta Mukherjee), resident of 11 Surighat Lab Bindu Basni Para Chandan Nagar, Hooghly, West Bengal. He showed three types of ID cards (Indian Coast Guard and National Security Corps) to the police. When suspicion arose on finding different ID cards, the vehicle was searched.

During the police search, an air pistol, an air revolver, two air rifles, 138 air cartridges, two mobiles, two laptops, a tablet, and ID cards with four different photographs were found in the car. The man wearing the uniform of an ADG rank used to wear the uniform to establish his dominance and to avoid toll tax and blockade.

To confuse the police, he had put three stars on his Ertiga car with a West Bengal number plate. Apart from this, three stars were also put on the uniform and on every photo in the ID card.
