have issued a major update on ' health after the monarch was diagnosed with cancer in February last year. Although his specific type of cancer has not been disclosed, the Royal opened up about his health during his visit to Bradford, where he was joined by , to celebrate the West Yorkshire city being named 2025's City of Culture.
During what GB News described as a "poignant moment," the King met Sophina Khan, a local florist who is also a cancer survivor, and together they shared a discussion about their journey with the disease. Speaking to the programme, she shared that King Charles revealed where he is on his schedule of regular treatments. Sophina stated: "He gave me the thumbs up, he said 'I'd like to think I'm on the better side.'"

She added: "I think the key is that you don't give up on yourself."
Although the King has kept the details about his cancer private, about the lessons he has learned from his cancer diagnosis and treatments during the celebrations of community-based initiatives raising cancer awareness and supporting those living with the disease.
In his heartfelt speech, King Charles praised the "profound impact of human connection" and spoke of the "community of care" that "sustains patients through the most difficult of times".
He said that "each diagnosis, each new case, will be a daunting and at times frightening experience for those individuals and their loved ones.
"It has certainly given me an even deeper appreciation of the extraordinary work undertaken by the remarkable organisations and individuals gathered here this evening, many of whom I have known, visited and supported over the years"

King Charles' regular treatment has been said to be successful, although he did have a brief hospital stay in March after he suffered side effects, but was well enough in April for a state visit to Italy.
Just six weeks later, the King's daughter-in-law, Princess Kate, was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was revealed after she underwent major abdominal surgery.
Thankfully, after undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales is officially in remission, which was confirmed earlier this year.
After Kate's diagnosis was made public, the King praised her courage, as Buckingham Palace said that his majesty is "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did."
King Charles and Queen Camilla were informed about Princess's health before her announcement, said they would "continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time".
