Lisa Snowdon has given fans a glimpse of what's inside her makeup drawers and one product happens to be her go-to for a 'natural' makeup look. It's the Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation SPF15, a product that is loved by Lisa and other celebrities.
The hydrating foundation with medium coverage is currently stocked at LookFantastic, Boots, and Bobbi Brown online, and shoppers can get a full-size 30ml bottle for £43. It's suitable for normal to oily skin types, and comes in a vast range of 53 shades.
The TV presenter said in her Instagram Story yesterday: "I'm doing natural makeup because I've got a film crew coming to the house in about half an hour and we're doing cooking. I found my Bobbi Brown, this is their Weightless Skin Foundation SPF15 and this is the darkest shade for me - Warm Natural.
"I use it with a Beauty Blender and then a little bit of Chanel concealer with a little bit of my Rodial Banana Lowlighter. But I don't really wear that much foundation, but it'sactually given a really nice finish. And then I've set it with a bit of By Terry translucent powder, which is such a good little handbag size."
It's not just Lisa who loves wearing the Bobbi Brown foundation. The product is rated a high 4.7 out of five stars from 1,250 reviews online.
The formula has oil-absorbing silicas to help control shine without stripping moisture. It's said to feel comfortable and breathable, for a natural matte finish that looks like skin.
Other than Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier's Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Foundation, £40, provides medium and buildable coverage by blurring away the appearance of pores, fine lines, and imperfections. The Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, which was also spotted in Lisa's makeup drawer, offers a lightweight option to those looking for a dewy glow. It can be found at Cult Beauty for £49.
However the Bobbi Brown foundation contains a tri-moisture complex that features hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and honey extract to boost skin hydration even in dry areas.
Some customers mentioned that the foundation is 'too watery' in texture, and one said: "I didn't like the chemical smell it had in the bottle but it smelled okay while on."
One shopper found the formula gentle enough for their sensitive skin, explaining: "This foundation is perfection. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear, it blurs pores and fine lines, buildable, covers like a dream, wears well and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin."
Another praised the SPF feature, adding: "The added SPF15 is a nice bonus since I'm big on sun protection. I wore it out on a warm, sunny day while running errands, and it held up great. There was no melting or patchiness. It still looked fresh by the end of the day."
