The Red Arrows are set to fly over parts of the UK this weekend. The iconic aerobatic team will be on display at the Blackpool Air Show on Saturday, August 9, and Sunday, August 10, offering locals a chance to witness their spectacular journey over the seaside resort.
A map detailing the flight path and precise times for the overhead spectacle has been released, making this rare, free-of-charge event a truly special occasion. Weather permitting, the Red Arrows are scheduled to depart from their base at RAF Valley on Friday afternoon and land at Blackpool Airport by 4.05pm.
On Saturday, the aircraft will take off from Blackpool at 1.38pm, flying over Southport and North Wales before returning for the Airshow display around 2pm. Later in the day, they'll head to Scotland for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Flypast, before returning to Blackpool Airport for the second day of the Airshow, Lancs Live reported.
The Red Arrows are set to fly over Cleveleys, Haverthwaite, and Penrith on their journey north and over Whitehaven on their return. On Sunday, they will follow the same flight path over the North West before touching down in Blackpool for the Airshow at approximately 5pm.
On Sunday evening, locals will have another opportunity to spot the Red Arrows as they make their way back to RAF Waddington. Departing from Blackpool at 7.30pm, they will soar over Cleveleys and Great Eccleston before heading northeast over Yorkshire and then south to their base.
