Weather maps show the exact date a 31C heat bomb will hit eight counties in the UK. Current modelling by WX Charts shows the mercury rising to 31C (87.8F) across south west and central southern England on August 7.
The eight counties where WX Charts' maps show 31C at 6pm on August 7 are: Somerset, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Hampshire.
While those counties could see 31C other regions look set for hot weather too, if the modelling proves to be accurate this far ahead.
South East England and East Anglia might see 29-30C while counties including Cheshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire may see 29C, according to WX Charts. Top temperatures in Wales range from 26C in the south to 17-22C in the north.
Northern England looks set for 14-25C while Scotland will be cooler, with maximum temperatures ranging from 17C in Northern Scotland to 20C around Edinburgh and 14C in the Outer Hebrides.
Across Northern Ireland, temperatures range between 19-21C, according to WX Charts maps generated on Wednesday (July 23) using Metdesk data.
In its long range forecast, the Met Office says temperatures will likely continue to be near or above average overall. It adds: "There is a chance of some very warm or hot spells developing later in August if high pressure wins out for a decent stretch of time, especially in the south and east."
Netweather says temperatures are likely to be near normal in the first few days of August, before probably turning warmer than average.

Today sees scattered showers across western and southern parts with the showers potentially turning heavy and thundery in the afternoon. There will be a mix of bright spells and a few light showers elsewhere. It will feel warm in any sunshine.
Tonight will see showers slowly fade, though a few will linger across East Anglia and southwest England. Otherwise, it's a mix of cloud and clear spells, with some patchy drizzle in northwest Scotland possible.
Thursday brings rain and showers across eastern England. It will be mostly dry elsewhere. The brightest conditions will be in the west. It will feel warm in any sunshine.
The outlook for Friday to Sunday is for largely dry and fine weather across the south and east, with patchy rain elsewhere. It will be showery in the north on Sunday, with the potential for heavy rain further south.
